the oboe is in the woodwind family. They are both made of wood and metal. They are in the woodwinds family because they use a reed. To play the oboe you must blow through the little mouth piece in the front. The oboe uses a double reed. Next the clarinet, it is in the woodwind family too. The clarinet is played by blowing through the little mouth piece like the oboe. The clarinet uses a single reed. Are instruments are the violin and the harp. The violin and harp are very different instruments ,but they are very closley realated.While they are both in the same family (the string) the two sound different,are shaped different, and the harp is larger and weighs more than the violin.
For our instruments the harp and the violin,the two are made up of different miterials,but the three most commen are gut,steel, and nylon.
Although the violin and harp have strings they are played two different ways.The violin you play with a horsehair bow,and you haveWelcome to lean it on your solder. Our instruments are kettle drums and chimes. They are both found in the Percussion Family.
Chimes are made with a metal frame and metal tubeshung from the frame. You play the instument by hitting a felt-tipped mallet on the tubes. Some interesting facts are they can have up to 12 to 34 tubes. Sometimes you can make it sound like a door bell.
Kettle drums also know as the timpani are made with clafskin or plastic for the base and wood for the sides. You play the instument by hitting it with a felt-tipped mallet. Interesting facts are there are 8 different types of kettle drums/timpani. They are sometimes made with turtle shells.

- The maracas made out of dried veges, beans, and wood. You play it by shaking them in one hand and you can make a different sound.The cool thing about it is it you can make them at home maybe and they are made sometimes in Mexico. They are a very cool thing to play in groovy music.
- The xylaphone is made up of wood blocks, metal, and dried vegtebels. They make all diffrent sounds cause it has threeteen diffrent sounds in the keys. You hit them with malets. The malets have eathier ruber or metal stems and have yarn on it.

The drum heads are made of plastic or calfskin.The timpani is considered the most important of orchestra percussion instruments. Timpanis are largemetal pots with drum heads stretched over their tops. Like the snare drum the drum heads are mad of plastic or calfskin.

Our instruments are the Tuba and the Trumpet. Our instruments are both made of wood and metal. They are in the brass family, because they make a very low sound. For both instruments you breath into the mouthpeice and press the valves in varios ways. The Tuba is the biggest instrument in the brass family and it is the lowest instrument in the Brass family. The Trumpet is very very old and if you streached it out it would be 6 feet long.
